Remove Unwanted Lumps & Bumps with SL Aesthetic Clinic’s Spot-Guided CO2 Laser
A LASER (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) works by emitting a wavelength of high energy light, which when focused on a certain skin condition, will create heat and destroy diseased cells.
Various kinds of lasers are available that are differentiated by the medium that produces the laser beam. Carbon dioxide CO2 is used in the case of the Spot-Guided Co2 Laser.
Treats a range of common lesions
The Spot-Guided CO2 Laser is suitable for:
- Skin Tags
- Milia Seeds
- Raised birthmarks
- Viral warts
- Keloid and hypertrophic scars
- Actinic keratosis
- Ability to focus the laser energy to a point for selective tissue treatment (i.e., damage to surrounding tissue is minimised)
- Less invasive than deep chemical peeling (i.e., relatively shorter downtime)
The Spot-Guided CO2 Laser is a safe and effective way to remove lumps and bumps when performed by a trained medical professional. Speak to our doctor to know more.

You will see visible improvements with the first treatment as the Spot-Guided CO2 Laser excises the lesion. Depending on the type of lesion, the location of the lesion and other factors, repeat sessions may be required after a 2 to 3-week interval for better cosmetic results.
Results, outcomes, and recovery vary by the individual. Speak to our doctor to know more.
After assessing your needs, the doctor can perform the treatment in approximately half an hour or so, subject to the doctor’s schedule. Otherwise, a later appointment can be made for the procedure itself.
Results vary by the individual and lifestyle choices. Some lesions have a tendency to reappear, with varying frequencies and appearances. Some people are also genetically more prone to developing lesions, which may require more frequent treatment.
Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Pain is minimal during the treatment, though some patients experience slight discomfort. Post-procedure, there may be some temporary pain as you recover.
Pain and discomfort vary by the individual.
The wound healing time can vary between a few days to a couple of weeks for larger areas. You may experience redness, bruising, blistering and/or crusting, which should resolve in time.
As a general recommendation, the Spot-Guided CO2 Laser should preferably be done before a weekend or holiday for working patients. This will still vary by the individual. Speak to our doctor to know more.
The Spot-Guided CO2 Laser is safe for most healthy adults. As with all medical procedures, you should be sure to disclose all of your medical history and current habits such as smoking and use of blood-thinners, medications, birth control pills, or supplements.
The Spot-Guided CO2 Laser may be unsuitable in the following circumstances:
- Patients with unrealistic expectations, such as those who seek complete eradication
- Patients with a tendency to form keloid and hypertrophic scars
- People that have taken isotretinoin within the previous 6 months
- Active bacterial or viral skin infections
- Prior ionising radiation to the area to be treated
- Connective tissue diseases
