If you’ve recently visited our website or searched for our treatments on Google, you may have noticed that treatment names no longer appear as they once did. Instead of specific brand or product names, you’ll now see general terms such as HA Smooth, Korean PN, or Anti-Wrinkle Treatment.
This change is part of new guidelines introduced by the Ministry of Health (MOH) for all healthcare service providers in Singapore.
Why the Change Was Made
Under these regulations, clinics and healthcare providers are:
- Advised to focus on medical conditions and healthcare services available, rather than specific branded treatments.
- Not allowed to reference products (including prescription medications), show product images, or make brand comparisons.
- Restricted from naming active ingredients at the time of writing.
MOH has stated that inappropriate advertising of licensable healthcare services may encourage the public to unnecessarily consume these services.
Ultimately, decisions about treatment should always be made between doctor and patient in a face-to-face consultation, where your unique needs and safety can be carefully considered.
What This Means for You
While treatment names may now look different on our website, social media platforms and search listings, our services and standards of care remain the same. The treatments you are familiar with are still available – only the way they are presented has changed.
At SL Aesthetic Clinic, we remain committed to providing reliable and accurate information about skin, face, and body concerns and creating educational content to help you understand your options.
Despite the new advertising guidelines, we will continue to do our best to make clear and useful information accessible to everyone.
If you need clarification about what the new treatment replacement terms refer to, or would like to understand your options better, please contact us – our team will be happy to assist or arrange a consultation with our doctors.
