The skinboosters treatment process at SL Aesthetic Clinic Singapore

Hyaluronic acid is what keeps your skin smooth, hydrated, and elastic but as you age, the body’s supply of this youthful chemical depletes and this is in part what causes the skin to become dry, rough and loose. By replenishing the skin’s supply of hyaluronic acid with rejuvenating microinjections of Skinboosters, you can reduce the signs of ageing on your appearance.

At SL Aesthetic Clinic, the Skinboosters treatment process involves injecting the fillers with a series of microinjections using an injector gun.

The advantages of the Injector Gun includes:

1. Controlled delivery of Skinboosters; fillers are injected at a uniform amount and at the desired depth
2. Stabilised delivery of Skinboosters with the gun ensures downtime is minimised as much as possible

The recommended course of treatment for Skinboosters is an initial start-up treatment, three sessions each spaced 2-4 weeks apart. For noticeably visible results, one treatment is recommended every six months to maintain the levels of hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid works by absorbing water to hydrate the skin and improve firmness, smoothness, and elasticity.

Because it’s a non-surgical method for reducing wrinkles, restoring skin hydration, and minimising pore size, the side effects of these Skinboosters is minimal. After each treatment session, some patients may experience minor bruising, swelling and numbness which can subside after a few days.

Results, downtime, and recovery vary by the individual. Speak to our doctors to know more.

Who is best suited for this treatment

This treatment can be used to manage both moderate to severe wrinkling and is thus suitable for those looking to reduce deep stubborn wrinkles or scars without having to go under the knife. Patients can expect to see a reduction in their skin imperfections as well as an improved overall complexion. As with any procedure or treatment, results can vary by individual.

What is skinboosters?

Skinboosters are soft hyaluronic fillers which are introduced into the skin via microinjections. This can be done with a small needle by hand or done with an injector gun. The injector gun sucks the skin up to create a suction pocket.  Thereafter, 5 micro-needles deliver the Skinboosters into the skin.

Skinboosters alleviates the skin ageing process by introducing hyaluronic acid into the skin. Once injected, the water-loving hyaluronic acid molecules start to absorb water, bringing about intensive hydration to the skin from the inside out. With improved hydration, skin looks plumper, brighter, and more youthful.

At the same time, Skinboosters stimulate collagen, giving longer anti-ageing effects.

Whether for those wanting to rejuvenate dry, mature or dull skin, or for those simply seeking to improve overall skin appearance, Skinboosters can be a treatment of choice.

Skinboosters can help improve skin texture, tone, and the appearance of acne scars. The benefits are:

  • Supple skin
  • Improvement in fine lines and wrinkles
  • Improvement in appearance of pore size
