Cosmelan Peel in Singapore

What is Cosmelan Peel?

The Cosmelan System is a depigmentation treatment programme. Developed by cosmeceutical firm mesoestetic®, it can help with lightening melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and other blemishes. Cosmelan peel works by blocking the process that causes hyper-pigmentation. An alternative melasma treatment is the Pico Laser. Read more about it here.

Cosmelan Peel Treatment Protocol

Cosmelan Peel addresses pigmentation issues with a two-pronged approach:

  • Corrective Action: The treatment works intensively to depigment dark spots and correct hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production.
  • Regulating Action: It also has anti-ageing benefits, regulating skin tone and texture for a more youthful appearance.

Treatment Protocol

  1. Application of Cosmelan 1: The in-clinic mask will be applied and left on for several hours.
  2. Home Protocol (7 Days): After removing the mask, you will follow a home care routine using Cosmelan 2 to continue the depigmentation process.
  3. Day 8 onwards you will use:
    • Cosmelan 2 Cream
    • Melan Recovery Cream for hydration and calming the skin
    • Sunscreen to protect the skin from irritation caused by sun exposure

Our Cosmelan treatment price includes the full home protocol, ensuring you have everything you need for effective and safe results.

Common side effects may include redness, peeling, and increased skin sensitivity for the first few weeks. However, the Cosmelan 2 home cream is designed to soothe and reduce sensitivity, promoting faster skin recovery. Cosmelan does not contain hydroquinone. This allows for long-term use in preventing reoccurrence of pigmentation irregularities.

Initial results can be seen within the first week, with significant improvement in skin tone and reduction of pigmentation after 2-4 weeks. Full results may be visible after a few months, depending on individual skin conditions.

The results of Cosmelan are long-lasting but require proper maintenance to sustain. After the initial treatment, most clients experience a significant reduction in dark spots and hyperpigmentation, with results visible within 2-4 weeks. However, continued use of the Cosmelan 2 home care cream and strict sun protection are essential to maintaining the results. While pigmentation may recur due to factors like sun exposure or hormonal changes, periodic treatments and consistent skincare can help prolong the effects.

There is minimal downtime after the Cosmelan treatment. During the first week, you may experience redness, peeling, and skin sensitivity as your skin exfoliates and regenerates. This is a normal part of the process. Most people can resume normal activities, but you will need to avoid sun exposure and follow a strict skincare regimen to support healing and achieve the best results.

Yes, Cosmelan is suitable for all skin types and tones. It is specifically designed to treat a wide range of pigmentation issues, regardless of skin colour. Whether you have lighter or darker skin, Cosmelan works effectively to reduce hyperpigmentation and provide a more even complexion.
