Book a Consultation –
SL Aesthetic Clinic Singapore
Our approach centres on one principle: every recommendation should be based on what your skin and facial anatomy actually need, not on what’s trending. Every patient journey starts with a proper consultation – an honest, no-pressure assessment that gives you the information to make the right decision for yourself.
Whether you are exploring aesthetic treatment for the first time or looking for a second opinion on a concern that hasn’t responded to previous treatment elsewhere, our doctors are here to help.
Years in Practice
What to Expect at Your
First Visit
First-time patients often arrive unsure of what to say, what will happen, or whether they’re ready to commit to anything.
The short answer: you don’t need to be ready for anything other than a conversation. Here is what a first visit to SL Aesthetic Clinic looks like from start to finish.
01
Before You Arrive
You don’t need to prepare anything specific, and you certainly don’t need to decide on a treatment in advance – that’s what the consultation is for. Think about what bothers you most and what you want to achieve with us. Come with clean skin if possible, and bring a list of any skincare products or medications you’re currently using.
02
Your Consultation
Our doctors will spend time assessing your skin type, facial anatomy, and medical history. There is no pressure to proceed with any treatment on the day.
A consultation at SL takes about 15 to 20 minutes; you will leave with a clear understanding of what’s happening with your skin and what your options are regardless of whether you book a treatment.
03
Your Treatment Plan
If a treatment is recommended, our doctors will explain what it does, why it suits your concern, what realistic outcomes look like, how many sessions are typically needed, what the downtime involves, and what it costs.
Honest expectation-setting is something we take seriously – we would rather tell you a treatment is unlikely to achieve what you’re hoping for than proceed and disappoint.
04
If You Proceed
Most treatments can be performed on the same day as your consultation if you choose to go ahead. Topical numbing cream is applied for your comfort.
If you have a low pain threshold or anxiety about needles, please tell your doctor at the start of the consultation – we will adjust our approach accordingly. For patients who are particularly sensitive, we also offer other comfort protocols on request, including using MEMS needle technology.
05
After Your Treatment
Our doctors will explain exactly what to expect after treatment. For treatments that require multiple sessions, our doctors will recommend an appropriate interval.

- You have a specific skin concern (acne, pigmentation, scarring, rosacea) that has not responded adequately to over-the-counter or GP-prescribed treatments.
- You are noticing facial ageing changes (volume loss, skin laxity, wrinkles, or changes in your facial proportions) and want to understand what is actually happening and what can be done.
- You have had treatment elsewhere and are not satisfied with the results, or want a second opinion.
- You are visiting Singapore from overseas and want to make use of your time here for a treatment you have been considering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to know what treatment I want before I book?
No. Many patients arrive not knowing what they need – that is exactly what the consultation is designed to determine. Come with a description of your concern and your doctor will take it from there. Arriving with a specific treatment in mind is fine too, but be prepared for your doctor to agree, suggest an alternative, or recommend a combination approach.

Are your doctors MOH-registered?
Do you offer consultations in Mandarin?
Will my treatment be painful?
One of the most common questions we hear from patients who are new to aesthetic treatment is whether it will hurt. It is a completely valid concern, and one we take seriously.
The honest answer is that experience varies by treatment and by individual. In general for laser and energy-based treatments most patients liken the feeling to experiencing brief warm sensations. Injectable treatments –fillers, skin boosters, anti-wrinkle injections– are the concern most patients have, and this is the area where we have invested the most in improving the patient experience.
At SL, patients can opt for MEMS needle technology, which significantly reduces insertion discomfort compared to conventional needles. Even without this option, we offer a range of techniques and protocols –such as numbing cream and vibration devices– to make your procedure as comfortable as possible.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Our doctors will assess this at consultation. The most common mistake patients make is self-diagnosing from online research and arriving with a fixed idea of what they need. We find that patients get better outcomes when they describe their concern and let the doctor’s assessment guide the recommendation.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
If you would like to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please inform us a few days in advance. We ask for reasonable notice for cancellations to allow us to offer the slot to other patients.
I had treatment at another clinic and am not happy with the results. Can you help?
Do you treat men?
Yes. A meaningful proportion of our patients are male. SL offers treatments specifically relevant to men including FUE hair transplant, hair loss treatment, jaw reduction, body contouring, and skin treatments for acne and scarring. We also offer ESWT shockwave therapy for men’s health concerns.
